Brigitte Barnes

Hello! My name is Ms. B, Brigitte Barnes, and I am thrilled to be joining the Mill A community as the new 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade teacher. With a deep passion for education and a heart for children, I look forward to embarking on this exciting journey with you all.

Having recently completed my Elementary Education degree at Oregon State University, I am eager to bring fresh ideas and enthusiasm to the classroom. My teaching philosophy centers around creating a nurturing and engaging environment where every student feels valued and inspired to reach their full potential. I believe in fostering a love for learning through hands-on activities, collaborative projects, and exploring the natural world around us.

Outside of the classroom, I cherish spending time in nature, whether it's hiking, kayaking, or sitting by the river. My daughter, Olivia, is beginning middle school this year, and we both share a love for outdoor adventures and exploring new places. 

I am excited to get to know each of you and to be a part of this wonderful community. Together, we will create a positive and enriching learning experience for our students.
