Lisa Birney

Hello Everyone! I’m Lisa Birney.  I grew up in Los Angeles, CA, but I now call Stevenson my home.  I live with my husband, David, and our two Siberian Huskies, Rigel and Rollo.  We enjoy the outdoors and spending time at home.

I have over 10 years of teaching experience in all grade levels, mostly in Special Education.  I am so happy to return to a smaller district.  To me, a small district means a close-knit community, just like a family.  Being a teacher in a small district allows more opportunities to get to know the families I serve and to support the students and families in different ways.  My teaching philosophy is: Learn, know, experience, and grow.  I want my students to know their potential, set high standards for themselves, and be motivated to achieve them.  Please reach out any time!
