Grades K-5 took a field trip to Spring Creek Fish Hatchery.
Last week, we had our first all-school assembly this week. A huge thank you to the Marsh Family Band for sharing your incredible musical talents with us. And, thank you to Mid-Columbia Community Concerts for providing this grant-funded musical performance at Mill A School District.
MAS K-5 students are visiting the Spring Creek National Fish Hatchery (https://www.fws.gov/fish-hatchery/spring-creek) this Tuesday (9/20/22) as part of their science studies this year. All students will be provided a sack lunch by Ms. Naomi, and the afternoon bus schedule will be normal since students return to school before the end of the day. If you have any questions, please call the school office (509-538-2522) or email Ms. Erika (erika.almskaar@millasd.org)
#GoBobcats
MAS families - we hope you will join us for our Bobcat Back to School BBQ and Open House, Wednesday, September 14, 5:30 - 7:00pm! Free hamburgers and hot dogs for all, and see what your child has been learning this first month of school.
EVERYONE SMILE! Mill A School pictures are Thursday (9/8) morning. If you need an extra photo packet call the school office (509-538-2522).
Bobcat families - Your child(ren) will have P.E. on Mondays this year. Please make sure they have clean shoes that can be kept in their personalized locker in the gym for the school year. If this is a financial burden for your family, please contact the school and we will help get them what they need. Thanks for your support!
Tomorrow is Bobcat Pride Friday!
Every Friday, students can earn a classroom Bobcat Pride point for wearing blue and yellow. Points are tallied for each class and the points can be redeemed for classroom rewards.
Mill A PTO has a little store near the school office with a variety of Bobcat colored items to help students show their Bobcat Pride. Currently there are some MAS t-shirts, a variety of blue and yellow colored t-shirts, blue and yellow scrunchies, necklaces, etc. We try to make it easy for you to get a few essential items and a few fun items for your students.
We had such a great first day!
Erika Almskaar (K-2 Teacher), Jennifer Talbott (6-8 Teacher), Bob Rogers (Principal/Superintendent), Crystle Durham (3-5 Teacher) and Greta Lundby (Paraeducator)
